Bosch Announces New 300 Series Gas Cooktops at IBS 2010
Bosch’s Cooktop Collection Offers Efficient Performance and Versatile Design for
Every Cooking Need
Bosch expands its lineup of cooking options with a new, more powerful 300 Series
cooktop. Delivering efficient performance and functional design in two configurations,
the new 300 Series cooktop joins the full line of recently redesigned Bosch gas
cooktops.
Engineered to meet the lifestyle needs of any homeowner, the 300 Series is available
as a 30” 4-burner model or 36” 5-burner model featuring a powerful 14,000 BTU center
burner for fast boiling and 550 BTU simmer capabilities. Bosch 300 Series gas cooktops
will be available April 2010 with a MSRP range of $799 to $999.
“The 300 series joins Bosch’s expanded collection of gas cooktops offering builders
and homeowners a quality feature package and outstanding value,” said Michael Traub,
president and CEO, BSH Home Appliances. “The smart design of these gas cooktops
makes them a welcome addition to the Bosch built-in kitchen suite, which includes
wall ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers and ventilation.”
All Bosch gas cooktops offer an easy-to-access front-center control panel combined
with continuous grates to maximize cooking surface for full meal cooking, while
allowing continuous pan support and easy transitioning between burners. A deep recessed
design ensures containment of spills and easy clean-up. Bosch’s automatic re-ignition
system automatically re-ignites the burner in case the flame blows out. A testament
to the brand’s green commitment, 24% of the cooktop’s stainless steel is made out
of recycled material while 95% of the cooktop can be recycled and the end of its
lifecycle.
Both the 800 and 500 Series offer OptiSim™ burners for low simmering options, while
the 800 Series features PowerSim™, a diffuser cap that enables high output for faster
boil-up and precise simmering
