The Bosch models listed above were manufactured between 1999 - 2005. Other than
those listed above, no other Bosch models are affected by this voluntary recall
and required repair.

The dishwashers that are part of this recall can be identified by matching the model
number and the serial number (begins with "FD") found in the safety notice. The
model and serial numbers can be found inside the dishwasher door panel on the upper
right side.

The recall and repair of these units is open indefinitely, and free repairs by Bosch
will be provided for as long as requested and needed by our valued customers.

There is a possibility that a fire could break out in the control panel. If unattended,
the fire could potentially spread beyond the dishwasher. If you have one of the

Q. Why is this a voluntary recall?
Upon learning of the potential problem with certain models of dishwashers manufactured
between 1999-2005, we notified the appropriate federal authorities at the U.S. Consumer
Product Safety Commission (CPSC), and we are working in full cooperation with the
agency. We want our customers to be safe so we volunteered to recall the affected
models and quickly make necessary repairs.

No, Bosch is voluntarily announcing this recall and working in full cooperation
with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), our customers and others
to quickly recall the affected models to repair the defect.
Q. Did Bosch fully cooperate

Yes, we have worked closely with federal regulatory officials (CPSC) throughout
this process. Our effort here is to reach all consumers with the affected dishwashers.
Q. How many Bosch dishwashers
are part of this recall?
Approximately 465,000 Bosch dishwashers sold in the United States. Only certain
Bosch models are part of this recall, and they are listed above and in the safety
notice.
Q. Where were these dishwashers
manufactured?
The dishwashers were manufactured in our facility in North Carolina.
Q. Does this mean that Bosch
products are not safe?
Not at all. Bosch is committed to upholding the highest standards of quality craftsmanship
and reliability in all of our brands. In fact, our discovery of this issue is testimony
to our commitment to stringent testing and quality analysis. We are committed to
the safety of our customers. To insure their safety, we are voluntarily recalling
and repairing these affected units and working with federal authorities throughout
the process.

All Bosch dishwashers are certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and approved
by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) to ensure both safety and quality.

for a free repair.
Q. Is the affected component
being used with other products?
No. This panel has only been used on the specific models announced in this recall,
which were manufactured between 1999 - 2005. No other Bosch models contain the affected
component.

appliances taking to avoid damages?
Bosch is offering to repair all affected products free of charge. Bosch will obtain
customer information through distributors, retailers, and through a public announcement.
